The Portland State Library hosts the 50th anniversary exhibit of the Middle East Studies Center, "History of Middle East Studies in the West."
This exhibit will show books and other items from the 17th to the present and also works by Portland State University Faculty. It will be a great opportunity to learn more about the history of Middle East studies and the Middle East Studies Center at Portland State University. Gary Leiser, PSU '69 and Professor Emeritus Jon Mandaville have selected significant books and resources from the Portland State Library's Special Collections in collaboration with Cris Paschild, University Archivist and Special Collections Librarian.
